Zdeněk Lichtneger has been a guitar player and singer since the begining of the group in 1997. His musical roots are bound with studies at high school in Telč, where he and his friend Karásek took place in many competitions and shows. He was recomended to Svítání by former member Štěpán Policer, after having started studying at Masaryk university in Brno.

Nowadays he is a teacher at the basic school Křenová, where he teaches gypsy children, he has even formed a group with them, called Bongo Boys.

Zdeněk Lichtneger plays guitar Furch D-61 with Fishman pickup and uses Marshall amplifier AS50D.
