Solo guitarist and singer is the leader of Svítání since begining. One can find singing in classical choires in his past, 7 years in Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno or singing in Gaudeamus choir of Masaryk Univerzity Brno shouldn´t be omitted at least. He was member of common secondary school groups, groups interested in negro spirituals. He is author of most songs of Svítání. His music inspiration changes in time, folk roots were overwhelmed by other, more complicated and complex music, e.g. Jethro Tull, Yes, Flecktones, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, John McLauglin, Al di Meola, Paco de Lucia, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Queen, but also Czech groups and solo players like Vlasta Redl or Hradišťan.
Jiří Fadrný plays several instruments:
First guitar Furch DS-63, in 1997 best model of well-known guitar-maker from Němčice u Brna. There is a pickup Fishman AX-7 in this guitar.
Next guitar is YAMAHA APX-8, guitar especially for concert playing, with reduced volume and therefore less danger of feedback effects. He uses Martin string SP 12.
Guitar with nylon strings is made by Prague guitar-maker Petr Procházka. It is model Grand concert with Fishman pickup again.
Jiří Fadrný uses also electric guitar Fender Stratocaster Highway and combo Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. String are 10-11.
Lebeda´s mandolin made in 1994 is the last instrument, Jiří Fadrný uses also effect ZOOM GFX 707 as a volme pedal and a tuner Korg GT-12.
